Have you ever been sick before? Well this will enlighten you about medicines! Have you ever thought of when you are sick and you have to swallow pills, mixtures, or other things? Well those are medicines.
You get sick when either germs or viruses attack your body. Germs can be killed by using antibodies. These have anti-bacterial substances that will make you well. Viruses on the other hand is a whole different story.
Viruses attack directly to a cell not like bacteria so in order to kill the virus, you will also have to kill the cell that it is in. That is why you have to rely on something called the immune system! That is something that will fend off threats to your body.
That is what medicines do. Medicines get into your body and fight off those nasty bacterias! Your blood has many cells in it for example the platelets, the red blood cells, and the white blood cells. The red blood cells have a fixed shape and help give your blood the color of red. White blood cells "eat" bacterias.
That's all for today and stay tuned for Part 2!
